3R or the law of the three Rs (Reduce, Recycle and Reuse)

The three Rs (3R) is the essential rule to take care of our environment, our present and urgently, our future, specifically to reduce the volume of waste or garbage generated.

In a nutshell, the 3Rs help you litter less, save money and be a more responsible consumer, thereby reducing your carbon footprint.

In the consumer society in which we are immersed, the volume of garbage has grown exorbitantly. In addition, its toxicity has increased to the point of becoming a very serious problem. We are totally drowned in the culture of using and throwing away, and in the garbage of each day there are the resources that we will soon miss.

A good part of this garbage, 60% of the volume, is made up of containers and packaging, mostly single-use, normally made from non-renewable raw materials, or even being renewable, they are being exploited at a frenetic pace. The planet is warning us of its illness with both meteorological and bacterial signals.

Each one of us and we have the power to change the world by carrying out small daily actions and with them, we will help raise awareness in future generations and maybe, just maybe, we will stop this madness of consumerism.

Reduce

When we talk about reducing what we are saying is that we must try to reduce or simplify the consumption of direct products, that is, everything that is bought and consumed, since this has a direct relationship with waste, at the same time which also has it with our pocket. For example, instead of buying 6 small bottles of a drink, you can get one or two large ones, having the same product but less packaging to worry about.

Re-use

When we say reuse, we are referring to being able to reuse things and give them the greatest possible use before the time comes to get rid of them, given that by reducing the volume of garbage. This task is usually the one that receives the least attention and is one of the most important, which also helps the economy a lot at home.

Recycle

The last of the tasks is that of recycling, which consists of the process of subjecting the materials to a process in which they can be used again, reducing in a truly significant way the use of new materials, and with it, more garbage in a future.
