Raquel Amegashie brings INTIMATE, an album where sweetness and aggressiveness converge

INTIMATE is the title from the first album of the actress and singer Raquel Amegashie, where she undresses her own feelings in each song and, in a way of catharsis, combines sweet pop with some funk details, french song and soul. Intimate athems full of viscerality.

Through her songs she makes an emotional trip showing experiences and concerns: love, the sea, envy or personal growth are some of the topics of her album.

Raquel proposes a collective trip where the word and music are melted to walk along stories of non-stop evolution.

Each song reveals a tale, expressed with evocative rhythms, alternating sweetness and aggressivity, elegance and suddenness, emotions related to our primal instincts. She’ll release the album the next 18th of june where she includes her single UNE CHANSON and her last song BE A STAR, available in every digital platform.

Raquel Amegashie is a singer, songwriter and an actress raised in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria who counts with a long professional experience on audiovisual projects and in the world of music. As a singer she has participated in WOMAD CANARIAS 2018, Internationational Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 2018 or Gala Luz Enciende 2020 for RTVC. She collaborates with Nayaband in WOMAD CANARIAS 2019, Canarias Jazz Heineken or Festival Alter África.

Together with the Berlin’s producer Chris Schelzer composed “Keep on breathing” and “Silly Boy” she composed her own “La disparatada historia de la ratita presumida”. Raquel has starred musicals like ‘El jorobado de Notre Dame’ in Gran Vía and ‘Ida y Vuelta’ for the festival Temudasfest 2017 and some other pedagogic musical projects like Un mundo entre dos tierras” in L´Auditori from Barcelona and “Kids Rock History”.

She has a degree in Dramatic Art and Audiovisual Communication, she counts with a master degree in Cultural Managing and a long music formation with professionals like Bea Alonso, Alba Serrano and Miguel Tubía.
