Canary Association of Gynecologic and Breast Cancer. ACCM

Canary Association of Gynecologic and Breast Cancer. (ACCM) is a non-lucrative association which borned in december of 2001 and its objective is to complement the actual activities focusing on the emotional and social support for the quality of life of women with breast and gynecologic cancer, relatives and any other person affected by this burden in the Canary Island.

It is an institution which has been formed along these last 18 years based on hard-working and compromiso with the collective of women and men affected by this illness. The Canary Islands have the most cases of breast and gynecologic cancer in the country. These are the pillars and objectives of the association:

– To offer integral attention to those affected by breast and gynecologic cancer and their relatives. To inform and advise about options and treatments available actually.

– To improve their quality of life and personal welfare: Helping to raise the life expectancy and to earn levels of satisfaction avoiding social exclusión.

– Promoting healthiness and quality of life by awareness, sensitization and information about the early prediction and prevention of breast and gynecological cancer.

– To be aware and fight the exclusion suffered by the women who are affected by this illness.
