MT Gallery, the artistic space run by the plastic creator Moreno-Tapia

The MT Gallery has been built naturally by itself, over the years, the events, the activities, and above all those who have supported it have been giving their contributions, an accumulation of successes, bets, failures and errors that have led to the commitment of C/ Valencia, 37, in the Barrio de Las Alcaravaneras in the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, to go from a production space for the artist Moreno-Tapia, to an Art Gallery passing through a training space open to all the ages.
The activity of the MT Gallery follows a mixed and interdisciplinary line, whose work is based on the approach of art lovers to the plastic creator himself directly, having his work as a reference without becoming an immovable intermediary, as happens Normally in a traditional exhibition event: the involvement of the artist with the public strengthens the discursive proposal and encourages growing collecting on the islands, at the same time that new and interesting creative bets are fed.

It has already been more than 10 years that they have gone, always making strong the idea that the project has to sustain itself financially, without public aid of any kind. It has not been easy. The crisis at the end of the first decade of the 21st century was the one that promoted the commitment, and the pandemic in 2020, despite the fact that it closed the doors to many things, strengthened the base of the project. Today, the MT Gallery looks to the future with humility, always learning from all those who come to its space, both public, as artists, and as cultural managers.
Each exhibition lasts approximately 2 weeks and apart from the opening act, it is associated with training for adults and another for minors with the artist.
It has an almost full monthly agenda and the presentation of the MT Gallery at the ARTMUC Art Fair that will take place in October of this year with the presence of three artists linked to the project is confirmed, as well as the start of the Big Format project that will have two staged in the months of June and November, with MorenoTapia and IanABern respectively,
