Marin Marais, performer and composer of the royal chamber, ordered by Luis IV, the Great, brought the viola da gamba to its highest degree of perfection, being the first to reveal all its essence and beauty. With endearing admiration for the master, we want to present a selection of his pieces of character hoping to move you through its powerful evocative breath.

We will add to this compendium, some dialogues of the literary salons held in the Parisian high society palaces of that time; a conversation between précieuses caught on the fly as an imaginary walk inside an inner labyrinth where various conjectures about human passions and their qualities will be spun.
