Benevolent society ”Tú no vas a poder conmigo” or how to bravely fight cancer with attitude
The Charity “Tú no vas a poder conmigo” is a non-profit organization, which has been registered in the Register of Associations of the Canary Islands since 2018.
Its beginnings took place in October of 2016, as an educational project, at the hands of Nereida Perdomo. In May of 2018, after two years of work, it was registered as a benevolent society.
The entity’s cause is the consequence of Carmen Pérez Valido’s fight against cancer.
In the year 2014, she was diagnosed with a grade IV glioblastoma multiforme, commonly known as a malignant brain tumour.
This diagnosis, far from beating her, made her braver and strengthened her will to live. Her first reaction upon learning the cause that led her to the hospital was: “Cáncer, you are not going to beat me”, hence our name.
Our objective is based on two main points:
On the one hand, fight cancer on the educational and social field through our different projects: “Tú no vas a poder conmigo” and “Red de Escuelas Contra el Cáncer” Project.
We work aspects related to this disease and take them to the population in the most individual way possible through dynamic talks and various activities.
On the other hand, help cancer patients and their families, providing them all the supplies needed for them to improve their lifestyle. As well as collaborating in the funding of cancer research projects.
