EmÉritos: Members of Familia Real and Ataúd Vacante along with members of 90s punk bands

On December 10, one of the bands from Tenerife with a more promising future will perform live. And they will do it with a vinyl single under their arms. For now, they have been releasing the only two songs that have been laminated in this first work as videos. Punk 77, the roots of punk after all, were buried under multiple subsequent waves and new trends that were taking place within it. The same thing happened in the Canary Islands, the relays happened apparently by spontaneous generation, not by a continuity of the projects.
Silver, singer, and Pistol, drummer, join again in this group. After several decades with bands like Familia Real, Ataúd Vacante and 13 Motos they returned to the stage completing the tandem with Poti on guitar and Pisti on bass. Both were part of Aborto, Parto and Los Jartos. A band of speedy life that in the university and protest city of La Laguna in the mid-90s offered a cruder and more street side of punk. In addition, his contribution to other groups such as Gran Banda Mandinga, Speedmatics, Sr. Agente, Circo Matadero or more current II Madres has been key.

However, the musical influences have more to do with that primal punk than with the bands listed. And it is that a new band is born with a different way of understanding and doing punk.
The album has been co-published by the Tenerife label Los 80 Pasan Factura and Global Help Records from Madrid. While they are working on new compositions they have not advanced a date for a second album, for now you can spin these two great songs and stay tuned for their first concerts.
