Felip Martín is a young 23-year-old Luthier artisan from Lanzarote.
At just 14 years old, he began building timples, creating Estow Studio, an innovative and circular economy project. He tells us: “I believe that living on an island the issue of zero waste is essential.” Bravo!
He builds musical instruments, timples and ukuleles, he also designs a passive speaker for mobiles based on the resonance box of the timples, which increases the sound of mobiles up to 4 times without any electrical connection.
With the rest of the wood from his works, his brother designs and builds wood and silver jewelry, as well as wooden pens.
The resulting sawdust is used so that his chickens can sleep more comfortably and when it is used they pour it into a compost bin to make compost and thus feed the trees and their small garden.
In August 2021, an International Fair in New York was selected at NY NOW, where the passive speaker was a finalist for the best artisan product. This Fair has helped to publicize this latest invention and it has been very successful in the North American market.
Lately he also designs wooden cutting boards… he is always creating new products, his head does not stop.
What a great artist and businessman we have!
