Gabriela Suárez Jazz Singer, awarded with the Noble Artist Prize 2021 by Canary Music Awards 2021 is still developing her career after her first album recorded in New York “Moonlight in Vermont”

She is a talent who has burst in the jazz scene. Her voice is from another generation, it transports you to the 30’s and you can feel the influences from Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald or Sara Vaughan.
So close and so far at the same time from the influences, Grabiella also dives into Bossa Nova with Jobim, Bill Wither and Nina Simone’s greatest hits.
We are facing a different voice, a taste and an aesthetics kind of unusual for her young age and the actual tendences.
She is looking forward to new horizons and in September she will perform with Sant Andreu Jazz Band, which will record an exclusive new song directed by Joan Chamorro, master of musicians like Andrea Motis, Rita Payes…
She also was selected for the JAZZ I AM to make a showcase in September in Barcelona and the recording of her new second album which will be a tribute to the great Billie Holiday.
At 12, she arrived at Fábrica la Isleta. Her master José Alberto Medina, pianist, and her teachers Cristina James and Errol Woiski has been following her entire career and her musical education. Practise has been fundamental during these years and the key to perform in huge stages with great stars of music.
Her band is formed by David Xirgu (drums), Tana Santana (double bass) and the direction of the pianist José Alberto Medina, has been recording their first album in New York in 2019 and top lay around Spain and Poland before the sanitary crisis. She’s been playing around Music Houses and Theatres around the Canary Islands and she has participated in the Big Band of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Gabriela says: “I love every music genre, not only jazz”
It’s possible that will be able to see huge goals this girl will reach in a few years from now.
